Persepsi Mahasiswa Terhadap Kajian Keislaman Kampus: Studi Pada Program Kajian di Universitas Negeri Padang

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low level of student engagement in participating in the Islampedia Study Program at Padang State University, despite the fact that the program aims to strengthen Islamic understanding and foster students' spirituality. This study aims to examine student perceptions of the implementation of the Islampedia Study program. The method used is descriptive qualitative research with a field research approach through observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The results show that most students responded positively to the Islampedia Study program because the material presented was tailored to students' needs, the activity atmosphere was comfortable, and the participants felt the spiritual benefits. However, student attendance is still influenced by several factors, such as self-motivation, the surrounding environment, and academic busyness. Therefore, the Islampedia Study program is considered to have an important contribution to student religious development, although improvements are still needed in the aspects of socialization and activity management to increase student participation.
