Abstract

This research is motivated by the important role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in creating a conducive school climate through social competence, personality competence, and leadership. This study aims to determine the partial and simultaneous effects of PAI teachers’ social competence, personality competence, and leadership on school climate at SMPN 1 Bayang. This research used a quantitative approach with a causal associative method. The population consisted of 219 people, including 183 students and 36 teachers, with a sample of 141 respondents selected using proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 25. The results showed that social competence, personality competence, and leadership of PAI teachers each had a positive and significant effect on school climate. Social competence also had a positive and significant effect on personality competence and leadership, while personality competence significantly affected leadership. Simultaneously, social competence, personality competence, and leadership had a positive and significant effect on school climate, with an F value of 91.937 and significance of 0.000. The R Square value of 0.668 indicates that the three variables contributed 66.8% to school climate, while 33.2% was influenced by other factors.
