Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model integrated with Question Card media on students' learning motivation in Islamic Cultural History (SKI) at MTs Al-Hikmah Bandar Lampung. A quantitative approach employing a quasi experimental method with a post test only control group design was used. The sample consisted of an experimental class receiving the TGT model supported by Question Card media and a control class taught through conventional instruction. Data were collected using a learning motivation questionnaire and analyzed through normality, homogeneity, and independent samples t-tests. The results revealed no significant difference in students' learning motivation between the experimental and control groups, with a significance value of 0.710 (p > 0.05). These findings indicate that the implementation of the TGT cooperative learning model integrated with Question Card media did not significantly affect students' learning motivation in SKI. The novelty of this study lies in integrating the TGT model with Question Card media in SKI learning, providing empirical evidence that the effectiveness of instructional models is also influenced by contextual factors, including students' characteristics and the learning environment.
